As November comes to an end, there are a number of looks that were polished to perfection. Whether it was dewy or matte, make-up looked complete, it was professional and more importantly it was all about high saturation of colour, regardless of their neutral nature. The majority of these ladies had grey nails, either metallic, high-shine or semi matte in finish, fall trend in the Northern Hemisphere clearly. No need for NZer’s to follow that league, we’re hitting summer and with that comes brightly manicured hands and tootsies. In either case, enjoy the selection.

Never do I take a liking to a celebrity from whom I intentionally use their look as a platform to style myself, but Jessica Alba’s look is what I aspire to. Her style is juxtaposed between layers of glamour and rockstar style. That dishevelled wavy hair, the lace the grey nail polish and the ultimate smoky eye/dewy skin look. The look itself is a piece of art, immaculate and exquisite.
She also makes an appearance twice on this list, because even with her hair up in an, unusual, updo with a middle parting, the make-up manages to look flawless and soft with a glowing sheen and compliments her crimson nails seamlessly.
Camilla Belle’s face was matte perfection, the lips were coloured in with a Tarte Cosmetics LipSurgence Matte lip-tint in the colour exposed. Where most celebrities stick with a dewy effect and tend to err on an over glazed sheen, Camilla Belle tends to stick to a more classic Hollywood look with matte textures. It’s not caked on, she doesn’t look overly powdered and it’s more or less because her make-up artist has used an oil-free foundation formula, like Giorgio Armani’s.
Zoe Saldana looks gorgeous in a mustard Michael Kors dress with bright red lips and grey nails. The red lips off-set the dress in a beautiful fashion and create a warmth that darker skinned women can pull off. Her skin is healthy and prepped well, with the slightest coral cheek to compliment.
Lastly, Selena Gomez looked dazzling at the AMA’s. Her coral lips teamed with a smokey eye was beautiful. Her lashes were full and her skin was only slightly dewy. Her dress choice was questionable but the rest was put together faultlessly.
